Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting, LLC in Duluth, MN is seeking an Electrical Engineer I (entry level) to join our team for Spring 2027. The role focuses on electrical power, controls, and communications design for industrial projects, with involvement from inception through delivery.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, perform CAD tasks, assist senior engineers, and participate in field inspections. Travel up to 10% and long hours during busy periods are possible; FE exam guidance preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Practical or hands-on experience in power, control, and communications systems preferred.
• Strong conceptual thinking and ability to drive ideas from conception to implementation.
• Strong communication and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering, CAD design, and drafting duties to assist senior engineers in the design of electrical construction packages.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to complete designs of large and complex industrial systems.
• Create design documents and drawings including one-line/three-line diagrams and wiring diagrams.
