Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under physician direction. This role is designed for recent graduates or those new to the field, with on-site testing at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO.

Responsibilities include coordinating exams, ensuring patient safety, documenting results, mentoring staff, and contributing to quality initiatives. Part-time, 30 hours per week, with on-call shifts and 10-hour days.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification required in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS for healthcare providers required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred and will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific exam protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams and coordinate with medical staff and patients.
• Prepare for exams by identifying patients and educating them on procedures.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and quality outcomes.
• Document results and apply charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment and work areas and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedures.
• Provide education to other caregivers, fellows, and students as appropriate.
