Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Technician at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. This part-time position (30 hours) involves performing diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams under physician supervision and supporting the clinical team with patient care.

The role is designed for recent graduates or those new to the field, with opportunities for education, mentorship, and career growth within a collaborative care environment.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by following patient identification processes and educating patient and family on procedure.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Identify patient needs and communicate and coordinate patient care with physicians, caregivers, patient and family.
• Document exam results and other needed information; apply charge codes as needed.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Support education opportunities to ensure clinical competence and develop additional skills.
