Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech for Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO. This part-time role (30 hours, 3/10s) includes on-call shifts and involves performing diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction.

The position targets recent graduates or new entrants with an echocardiography program background, offering opportunities for clinical mentorship, skill development, and collaboration with our clinical team in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS for healthcare providers certification.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for the exam by educating the patient and family and transporting the patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and supplies; ensure patient safety and comfort.
