Job summary

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• This position designed for recent graduates or with minimal experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by patient identification, educating patient, and assisting with transport.
• Perform ultrasound exams in line with protocols and timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while achieving quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs to physicians and care team during exams.
• Document exam results and needed information clearly.
• Apply correct charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Clean and maintain equipment, work area, and supply stock.
