Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech for Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. The role focuses on performing diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under physician supervision, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and patient education.

Open to recent grads or those new to the field, offering growth and hands-on training within a collaborative team. The position is part-time (30 hours) with 10-hour shifts and on-call components, located at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; education from an accredited institution; degree will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for the exam by identifying patients, educating on procedure, and transporting the patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams in accordance with protocols and in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs to physicians and caregivers during exams.
• Document exam results and applicable charge codes.
• Maintain equipment, work areas and supplies; support quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique.
