Easterseals Southern California seeks an entry-level Aide, Early Childhood (EC) to assist the classroom teaching team in delivering developmentally appropriate care and education to young children. This structured role provides a pathway toward becoming a fully permitted Early Childhood Teacher in California as you pursue required ECE coursework.

Starting pay is $21 per hour, with expectations to enroll in ECE coursework within 90 days and complete at least six ECE units within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certified or ability to obtain.
• Enroll in ECE coursework within 90 days of hire; complete 6 ECE units within 6 months.
• Continue coursework toward Teacher Permit (24 ECE units).

Responsibilities

• Assist educators in implementing Head Start curriculum.
• Support safe, engaging learning environment for children.
• Assist children with disabilities or special needs.
• Care for assigned children and support development.
• Aid classroom organization, supervision, and sanitation activities.
• Participate in professional development and mentorship.
