Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Salesperson to support the DIY business and help achieve sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive knowledge, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, and external suppliers.

The position can be part-time or full-time, with duties including DIY services (battery installations, testing, wiper installs), inventory management, and delivering parts to customers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, parts catalogs, and procedures.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Effective communication with customers, peers, and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers in-store and via phone.
• Meet personal sales goals and assist store in achieving targets.
• Perform DIY services such as battery installations and wiper replacements.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Manage inventory tasks including truck put away, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Keep the store clean and stocked, including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot.
