Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services is hiring an Entry-level Diesel & Trailer Technician in Gordonsville, VA. Earn $26.75–$30.25 hourly, based on experience, with a performance-focused service team and opportunities to advance with ASE certifications.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, inspect trailers for DOT compliance, and handle repairs on tires, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems. Welding and on-road service are included in duties.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must possess toolbox and required tools.
• Team player mindset and a professional attitude.
• Ability to travel occasionally for training or customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers.
• Handle DOT/FHWA inspections and meet standard service times.
• Repair and replace tires, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Conduct electrical and ABS troubleshooting & repairs.
• Weld and fabricate using steel and aluminum.
• Reefer unit experience is a plus.
• Take on road service calls and company vehicle repairs.
• Keep the shop clean, safe, and efficient.
