Job summary

Transport Refrigeration Services is seeking an experienced Trailer Technician to join our service team in Mebane, NC. You will perform preventative maintenance, handle inspections, and repair tires, brakes, and suspension systems while troubleshooting electrical and ABS issues.

Welding and fabrication with steel and aluminum are also part of the role, with occasional road service calls. Night shifts offer a $2/hour differential and ASE certification pay.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must possess or obtain a toolbox and required tools.
• Team player mindset and a professional attitude.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Reefer unit experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel occasionally for training or customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers.
• Handle DOT/FHWA inspections and meet standard service times.
• Repair and replace tires, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Conduct electrical and ABS troubleshooting & repairs.
• Weld and fabricate using steel and aluminum.
• Take on road service calls and company vehicle repairs.
• Keep the shop clean, safe, and efficient.
