Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Diesel Technician Trainee in Phoenix, AZ, offering weekly pay and excellent benefits. The role includes on-the-job training while you earn, with no experience required. Expect a second shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm and a pay rate of $22.64 per hour, plus bonuses for performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0–1 year mechanical experience with diesel engines preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills and shop tools familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles into or out of yard, wash bay, service shop, or rental shop.
• Perform multi-point inspections and report issues to the shop.
• Maintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards.
• Attend Technician Training Development Program requirements and assessments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
