Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Associate Engineer to support design and execution of laboratory and corporate facility projects within Global Facilities. The role develops engineering drawings and documentation and participates in renovation projects from design meetings through execution under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
• Must graduate with a bachelor's degree prior to the intended full-time start date.
• Entry-level position, typically less than two years of experience.
• Ability to quickly gain knowledge of AbbVie processes, policies, and methods; strong cross-discipline collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Creates and updates engineering documentation, including one-line drawings and equipment layouts.
• Supports electrical distribution design for lab and facility projects under guidance.
• Participates in laboratory renovation projects from design meetings to execution.
• Interprets design issues, evaluates information, and proposes compliant designs.
