Job summary

Amentum is seeking a graduate entry-level Mission Critical Construction Manager (MEP) to kickstart a career in data center construction. You will support estimating, cost control, scheduling, risk assessment, and vendor management within our Virginia project team.

Based in the Sterling area, you will work onsite early mornings, collaborate with field engineers, and help deliver expansion projects while growing professional skills in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Construction management, electrical, mechanical, or technical certification required (graduated in 2023 or after) in a 2- to 4-year program.
• Must be available to work onsite (No VA – Dulles airport area) and arrive by 6:00am EST.
• Targeted work hours are 6:00 – 4pm EST, Mon-Fri.
• Computer literate and proficient with Word and Excel required
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel as needed
• Local candidates only (no relocation assistance available)
• Must be able to maintain efficiency and productivity in a fast-paced work environment and effectively communicate with other project members as required
• Must be eligible to work for any US Employer without current or future visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Assist in estimating, cost control, forecasting, trend analysis, and change order control.
• Contribute to risk assessment and management, forensic schedule analysis, earned value management, and progress measurement/reporting.
• Support subcontractor management, schedule development, progress reporting, and vendor management.
• Assist field engineering, site safety, and ensure overall product quality.
