Job summary

Accenture Federal Services in Leesburg, VA is seeking an entry-level Forensics Specialist to join our Cyber Defense Forensics team supporting a federal agency’s security operations center. This role offers mentorship and a clear path toward Tier 2 and Tier 3 responsibilities to build hands-on forensic skills in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship required; BS degree (or 4 years of experience) in a related field.
At least 1 year of professional experience in network or UNIX/Linux administration, software engineering, or related field.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, security methodologies, and configuring security solutions.
Proficiency in at least one programming language; familiarity with reverse engineering tools and open-source forensic tools.

Responsibilities

Conduct endpoint and network digital forensic analysis under supervision.
Leverage commercial and open-source forensic tools to perform analysis tasks.
Assist with maintaining the SOC’s forensics lab equipment and imaging stations.
Document findings clearly and draft sections of formal investigation reports for senior review.
