Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Forensics Specialist to join the Cyber Defense Forensics (CDF) team. In this entry‑level role, you will gain hands‑on experience in digital forensic analysis under senior analysts' guidance, with mentorship and clear career progression.

You will conduct endpoint and network‑based forensics, use forensic tools, document findings, and support incident response activities within the SOC environment, while preparing investigative reports for review.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required or equivalent.
• One year of professional experience in network or UNIX/Linux administration, software engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, security practices, and configuring security solutions.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and familiarity with reverse engineering tools.
• Exposure to commercial forensic toolkits (FTK/EnCase/Cellebrite) is preferred.
• DFIR fundamentals coursework or lab work preferred.
• Basic scripting to support evidence processing and analysis workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform endpoint and network forensic analysis under supervision.
• Use forensic tools to conduct analysis and report findings.
• Maintain SOC forensic lab equipment and imaging stations.
• Do static and dynamic file analysis to identify malware characteristics.
• Assist in categorizing and reporting security events per SOPs.
• Run antivirus scans on maintenance software before enterprise deployment.
• Conduct pre/post-travel scans of agency devices for authorized personnel travel.
• Draft sections of investigation reports for senior review.
