Qualifications

• Two years of experience as County Social Services Aide 3 or
• Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 credits in social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience
• Educational requirements may be met within two months of graduating

Responsibilities

• Participate in training and observe staff to build knowledge of resources
• Schedule and conduct interviews and follow-up visits with families
• Assist with preparing and providing supervised testimony in court
• Make referrals to social service agencies and explain available resources
• Document activities using required methods (summaries, correspondence, reports)
• Participate in case reviews and supervisory conferences to support learning
