Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC seeks a Jr. Data Scientist to support its government customer in Arlington, VA. You will assist in data analysis, model development, and visualization, with opportunities to contribute to threat forecasting and program analytics.

Applicants should have a Master’s in a quantitative field, strong Python/R/SQL skills, and experience with Tableau/Power BI. Eligibility for TS/SCI clearance is preferred; NDA required.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of statistical, mathematical, and machine learning theories and their application.
• Proficiency with Python, R, SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• Strong collaboration and ability to work on technical teams with senior personnel.
• Familiarity with national security concepts and secure DoW data environments.
• Ability to operate independently and manage requirements with minimal direction.
• Excellent oral and written communication to translate technical info for non-tech audiences.
• Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Data Scientist in providing technical and analytical support to ODASW(CNGT) leadership.
• Support MOE performance measurement by extracting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets.
• Assist in implementing predictive models and statistical scripts for threat forecasting and optimization.
• Support data pipelines and dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) and prepare data for briefings for ONDCP and Congress.
• Draft documentation to support enterprise-wide data standards and best practices.
• Provide analytical support during interagency forums and document data-sharing requirements.
