Job summary

Select Search Associates LLC is seeking a Data Scientist in Arlington, VA, to collaborate with clients on data challenges and build analytic processes, models, and workflows. The role emphasizes Python scripting, EDA, and working with large structured and unstructured data to deliver actionable insights for DoD/IC missions.

The candidate should have an active TS/SCI clearance (CI Poly potentially sponsored) and at least 7 years of experience with a BS degree, plus experience with AI/ML and data

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for CI Polygraph (we can sponsor your CI poly)
• 7+ years of experience and a BS degree (substitutions of experience, education, and certifications/training are allowed)
• Background supporting Intelligence Community operations (as analyst or data scientist) to support -INT related missions
• Senior-level Python scripting ability and experience with data mining in large datasets
• Ability to work with large structured and unstructured data and create visualizations for daily operations
• Experience with government-off-the-shelf data processing and analytics tools for modernizing methodologies
• Strong communication skills to explain technical details clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and data visualization techniques

Responsibilities

• Apply exploratory data analysis (EDA) techniques to extract insights from complex datasets
• Create processes around large datasets and visualize discoveries for daily operations
• Engage with structured and unstructured data to develop efficient analytics workflows
• Use big data tools to process diverse datasets and generate meaningful insights
• Write Python scripts to automate data workflows and analyses
• Lead creation of new solutions and enhancement of existing analytics
• Collaborate with stakeholders to break down roadmaps into actionable tasks and estimates
• Integrate math, coding, and analytics to derive actionable insights for decision-makers
• Research optimization frameworks to inform data management and analytics
