Job summary

Heritage Auctions in Dallas, TX seeks an Entry-Level Costume Assistant to support photography-ready costumes. You will dress and undress mannequins, prepare outfits for display, and assist with presentation in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the production team to set up shoots, maintaining costume condition, and moving items around the warehouse. High school diploma required; wardrobe knowledge a plus. Prioritizes meticulousness and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic understanding of costume design principles and fashion history is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Costume Styling: dress and undress mannequins and prepare costumes for photography and auction displays.
• Collaboration: work with the production team to set up photo sets and adjust mannequins as needed.
• Presentation: create visually appealing displays that highlight costume features.
• Maintenance and Care: steam and prepare costumes, store properly, and keep items in good condition.
• Physical Tasks: move costumes or supplies around the warehouse; lift up to 50 pounds; stand and walk most of the day.
• Flexibility: work varied hours including long shifts and some weekends to meet deadlines.
• Other Duties: assist as assigned by production or management.
