Job summary

Heritage Auctions in Dallas seeks an Entry-Level Costume Assistant to support costume preparation for photography and auction displays, dressing and undressing mannequins, and ensuring items are presented with visual appeal.

You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with attention to detail, assisting with setup and presentation, and collaborating with the production team to meet deadlines, including weekends if required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic understanding of costume design principles and fashion history is a plus but not required.
• Physical ability to move and lift items in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Costume Styling: Assist in dressing and undressing mannequins and preparing costumes for photography and auction displays.
• Collaboration: Work with the production team to understand photography requirements and assist with setup, moving mannequins on/off the photo set as needed.
• Presentation: Help set up displays that highlight the features of each costume.
• Maintenance and Care: Steam and prepare costumes for photos, store properly, keep items in good condition.
• Physical Tasks: Move costumes or supplies, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and stand most of the day.
• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by production team or management.
