Cache Creek Casino Resort is seeking a Cook I to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation across kitchen stations in our California facility. The role emphasizes learning under the Chef-on-Duty and working with various equipment to produce soups, sauces, and menu items.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation and basic knowledge of kitchen operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and follow recipes.
• Understanding of HACCP and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• In-house training to prepare all necessary menu items, including soups and sauces, as directed by the Chef-on-Duty.
• Operate large volume cooking equipment such as Grill, Deep Fryers, Griddles, Salamander, Stove Tops, Ovens, Braiser, and Steamer.
• Prepare basic hot food, cold food sandwiches, salads and dressings.
• Demonstrate knife skills and proper handling of meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, and dairy.
• Understand HACCP standards and maintain proper temperature control.
• Set up mise en place for assigned station and maintain clean, organized workstations.
• Assist with banquet productions and other outlets as needed.
• Report faulty equipment or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Comply with all safety, health and sanitation policies.
