Job summary

RBA Builders in Fountain Valley, CA, is seeking an entry-level construction scheduling professional to learn how to develop, maintain, and analyze schedules that support safe, efficient project delivery.

You will work with project managers and superintendents, gain hands-on experience with scheduling software, and contribute to preconstruction through closeout, with training and mentorship provided.

Qualifications

• Entry-level or early-career professional in construction scheduling and project planning.
• Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project is preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction sequencing and project workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining construction schedules based on project scope and field input.
• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to track progress and identify schedule changes.
• Support estimating and preconstruction efforts by helping integrate timelines, labor projections, and sequencing.
• Learn and apply critical path concepts to understand schedule impacts and project risks.
• Assist with schedule updates for proposals, RFPs, and business development efforts.
• Help monitor schedule performance and prepare clear reports for project teams.
• Support the integration of safety planning and risk mitigation into project schedules.
• Maintain organized scheduling documentation and records for communication and transparency.
• Review schedule milestones and contractual requirements with guidance from senior team members.
• Learn and utilize scheduling software, tools, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
