Turner Construction Company is seeking an Entry level Environmental Health and Safety professional to assist with enforcing company safety policies on a construction project in Indianapolis, IN. You will support hazard control, training, and program administration to protect workers and property on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety/engineering or related field with at least 1 year of construction safety experience.
• Basic knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Familiar with federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Ability to identify safety-related exposures and propose corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with training safe work practices and safety programs on the construction project.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions on site.
• Assist with drug screening program administration per project requirements.
• Assist with preconstruction meetings and worker orientation programs.
• Maintain safety records (PTPs, JHAs, training records, OSHA logs, MSDS).
• Conduct safety meetings and issue minutes; support site safety audits and inspections.
