Job summary

Mass Electric Construction Co. (MEC) is seeking an Entry Level Finance Analyst for MEC Industrial to support project accounting, forecasting, and reporting across multiple sites. You will handle cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and participate in month-end closes.

The role requires relocation and travel up to 50%, with exposure to nationwide projects and a comprehensive benefits package. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field is required, along with strong

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of financial/data analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Ability to relocate anywhere in the country
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Travel and/or relocation may be required (up to 50%)
  • Experience with PivotTables, V-Lookups and other Excel functions preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to access all parts of a construction site and work safely

Responsibilities

  • Recognizes the importance of being a team player by adapting to project needs
  • Fosters relationships with the Operations team and shows willingness to learn
  • Understands payroll and HR process workflows and masters the systems used to hire, transfer, terminate, and pay employees
  • Comprehends purchasing, invoicing, and maintains internal controls
  • Demonstrates understanding of accounts payable workflow and can troubleshoot payments
  • Understands intercompany and client billing processes and timely billing documentation
  • Ensures costs and cost adjustments are reviewed for accuracy
  • Reviews forecast and budget reports and corrects discrepancies
  • Identifies and reviews forecast/budget issues with the cost report
  • Maintains strong customer service and collaborative attitude
  • Maintains organized work environment and communicates clearly
  • Follows Corporate Compliance and supports EEO and labor law adherence
