Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) is offering an internship in the MEC Transportation District within Operational Finance. You will gain hands-on experience in construction management, field engineering, scheduling, cost control, and procurement during the May–August summer period.

This internship emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a strong work ethic, with relocation opportunities as needed. A dynamic learning environment and potential for travel across projects are provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related.
• Ability to travel or relocate as needed.
• Availability to work full-time during the summer (May–August).

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling, quantity tracking, material procurement and contract administration.
• Estimating, supervision of field activities, and coordination with suppliers and teams.
• Maintain records of job progress, costs, material usage, and deadlines.
