Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Entry-Level Concrete Laboratory Technician to join our team in Mays Landing, NJ. You will test concrete, grout, and other construction materials in the lab and in the field, supporting infrastructure projects.

Training and certifications are provided to help you build new skills and grow with the company. The role includes lab testing, field sampling, and occasional weekend/overtime work.

Qualifications

• Training and certification will be provided.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• ACI, NJSAT and NICET certifications are preferred, but not required.
• Work hours will be 40 hours per week between 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM most business days.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing procedures in the laboratory accurately and in accordance with standards and specifications.
• Drive company heavy duty truck to job sites to pick up concrete specimens to return to laboratory for testing.
• Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and clients both verbally and in writing.
• Work independently with supervision.
• Work environment will require regular exposure to bending, twisting, moderate to loud noise conditions and lifting weights of up to 75 lbs.
• Working in the field doing concrete coring and other concrete field testing will be required.
• Driving heavy duty trucks will be required.
• Some weekend and overtime work may be required.
• Working with other laboratory and field service groups will be needed depending on workload.
