Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Entry-Level Concrete Laboratory Technician to join our team in Mays Landing, NJ. You will test concrete, grout, and other construction materials in both the laboratory and field, supporting infrastructure and development projects.

Training and certifications will be provided, and the role includes a 40-hour workweek with typical hours 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• ACI, NJSAT and NICET certifications are preferred, but not required.
• Training and certification will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing procedures in the laboratory accurately and in accordance with standards and specifications.
• Drive heavy duty truck to job sites to pick up concrete specimens for laboratory testing.
• Communicate findings effectively with management, colleagues, and clients in writing and verbally.
• Work independently with supervision.
• Field testing such as coring and other concrete tests will be required.
• Some weekend and overtime work may be required.

In this role, you'll work both in the laboratory and in the field, testing concrete, grout, and other construction materials while helping support important infrastructure and development projects. Responsibilities

• Perform testing procedures in the laboratory accurately and in accordance with standards and specifications.
• Drive company heavy duty truck to job sites to pick up concrete specimens to return to laboratory for testing.
• Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and clients both verbally and in writing.
• Work independently with supervision.
• Work environment will require regular exposure to bending, twisting, moderate to loud noise conditions and lifting weights of up to 75 lbs.
• Working in the field doing concrete coring and other concrete field testing will be required.
• Driving heavy duty trucks will be required.
• Some weekend and overtime work may be required.
• Working with other laboratory and field service groups will be needed depending on workload.

Qualifications

• Training and certification will be provided.

• Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Compensation: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
