Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and cast cylinders on site in Worcester, MA. Training is provided, and we sponsor certifications to advance within the company.

You will handle field density tests, document results the same day, and communicate findings to superintendents while working outdoors on active jobsites.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in variable weather and site conditions.
• Willing to learn and obtain required certifications; sponsorship available.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938, document results the same day.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
