Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample and test fresh concrete at multiple sites along the Gulf Coast. You’ll perform slump, air, and temperature tests, verify density with a nuclear gauge, and cast cylinders while nearby crews work.

Training starts on day one, and we sponsor industry certifications as you progress. You will check field conditions, prepare daily reports, maintain equipment standards, and communicate results to superintendents on site.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in Gulf Coast heat and winter sites.
• We train and sponsor certifications (ACI Field Grade I, NICET) as you progress.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
