Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF GREATER NEW YORK & NORTHERN NEW JERSEY INC. is seeking an entry-level Job Coach I in Newark, NJ.

The role focuses on direct vocational coaching for individuals with disabilities within TLJC and LTFA services, helping participants obtain, learn, and maintain competitive employment. The Job Coach I will maintain 25–30 hours of direct engagement weekly, document activities promptly, coordinate with DVRS and employers, and ensure services meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related human services field is required.
• Associate's Degree with at least two years working with individuals with disabilities is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct vocational support services to individuals in TLJC and LTFA programs.
• Maintain minimum 25–30 hours of direct participant engagement weekly.
• Complete required documentation within established timeframes.
• Coordinate with employers and funding agencies to ensure services.
• Support participants in learning job duties and workplace expectations.
• Conduct employer visits and nurture professional relationships.
• Ensure participant records are audit-ready and up-to-date.
