Job summary

Ohelfamily in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a dedicated Job Coach to support adults with developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful employment and independence. The role involves job coaching, behavioral support, and community-based activities to help clients succeed at work and in their communities.

Responsibilities include teaching tasks, accompanying clients to sites, documenting progress, and coordinating with staff to ensure safe, effective support.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, teaching, or providing direct support preferred.

  • Implement client goals by teaching job tasks, breaking work into manageable steps, and adapting support as needed
  • Transport and accompany clients to work sites, community activities, and other approved locations

  • Respond appropriately to behavioral, emotional, safety, and emergency situations using approved intervention strategies
  • Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with supervisors, residential staff, coworkers, and program personnel, and provide coverage across program sites as needed
