Construction Material Testing is seeking a Coatings Inspector I to perform basic inspections of protective coating work under the supervision of a CIP Level 2 or 3 inspector. You will verify surface prep, measure ambient conditions and film thickness, document each step on tanks, structural steel, pipe, and concrete.

Requirements include AMPP CIP Level 1 certification and at least 1 year of experience in industrial coatings.

Qualifications

• AMPP CIP Level 1 certification is current.
• 1+ years in industrial coatings application or inspection.
• Comfortable around tanks, structures, blasting and spray operations.

Responsabilités

• Measure ambient conditions before and during application.
• Verify surface preparation against SSPC/NACE standards.
• Measure wet and dry film thickness and check for holidays/defects.
• Verify coating materials, batch numbers, mixing and pot life.
• Maintain daily coating inspection log and photograph each stage.
