Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist I to operate CNC machines, ensure quality and safety, and maintain records and equipment. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and meeting performance metrics within Tecomet's culture.

You will follow work instructions, handle tooling wear, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to GMP/GDP practices and OOQ standards. Strong math, detail orientation, and teamwork are essential for on-time production runs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment (E/D) preferred.
• Associate's degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English is desirable (UK only)

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings.
• Change dull tooling, and/or make minor offsets and adjustments as needed for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by following OOQ standards and using a range of measuring equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Identify and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues.
• Record activities in the job tracking system.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
