Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist I to produce machined parts by operating CNC machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, and keeping records. This role supports Tecomet's continuous improvement culture and performance metrics.

The candidate will operate CNC equipment to tolerances, perform tooling changes, and ensure OOQ quality, while adhering to GMP/GDP and daily PM schedules. Strong math, detail, and teamwork are essential for on-time production.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment (E/D) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within tolerances following work instructions and drawings.
• Change dull tooling and adjust offsets as needed for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by following OOQ standards and inspecting reports.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily machine checklist and PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report Safety, Health & Environmental issues.
• Meet productivity targets and identify improvements.
• Record activities in the job tracking system.
• Identify and support continuous improvement activities.
• Identify and assist with manufacturing issues with Team Leader/Supervisor.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform other duties or special projects as required.
