Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a CNC Machinist I to produce precision parts by operating CNC machines, following engineering drawings, and maintaining quality and safety standards. You will record results and support continuous improvement within Tecomet’s win-first culture.

Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, tool changes, and first article checks with measurement equipment, while adhering to GMP/GDP and 5S standards. A collaborative, detail‑oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment (E/D).
• Associates degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within specified tolerances following work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Change dull tooling and/or make minor offsets and adjustments as needed for tooling wear.
• Ensure product quality by working to OOQ standards using measuring equipment and inspecting reports.
• Perform routine maintenance as per daily machine checklist and adhere to PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP including completion of routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices to minimize risks to personnel.
• Achieve productivity targets and identify ways to improve productivity.
• Record all activities in the job tracking system.
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities.
• Identify and support manufacturing issues with Team Leader/Supervisor.
