Job summary

Vermeer is seeking a Machinist I to learn and operate precision machining equipment for high-quality parts. You will set up CNC centers, read blueprints, verify tolerances, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have entry-level machining training or experience and are committed to workmanship and uptime. This is an on-site role supporting Vermeer’s world-class manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Entry-level machining experience or formal training preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T to tight tolerances.
• Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges for quality verification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers (3–4 axis) and turning centers.
• Read blueprints and GD&T; select tooling and load programs.
• Edit small control programs and update tool/work offsets as directed.
