Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of SIG CNC Bootcamp (typically 90 days).
• Must read & understand work instructions in English.
• Must convey ideas clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Some experience reading drawings helpful but not required.
• Basic knowledge of machinist or manufacturing terminology.

Responsibilities

• Introduction to machine-related controlled documentation.
• Introduction to replacing and setting tools.
• Introduction to cutting angles, surface, and tool geometry.
• Introduction to tool identification, components, and wear causes.
• Learn to read blueprints through training and shadowing.
• Practice safe loading/unloading of machines under supervision.
• Use precision measuring equipment like equators and calipers.
• Complete training assignments within set timelines.
• Participate in group training exercises and 5S standards.
• Follow all Safety and ISO procedures.
