Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking candidates for a CNC Machine Operator Trainee position at our Exeter, NH facility. This probationary role evaluates attendance, training proficiency, and safety in a supervised environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and complete SIG's CNC Bootcamp; basic English communication, math, and reading drawings are important. Overtime and cross-functional work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Typically requires 90-days in SIG's CNC Bootcamp.
• Must read and understand work instructions in English.
• Must convey ideas clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer and math skills are required.
• Some experience reading drawings is helpful but not required.
• Basic knowledge of machinist terminology.

Responsibilities

• Introduction to machine-related controlled documentation.
• Intro to replacing and setting tools.
• Intro to cutting angles, cutting surface and tool geometry.
• Intro to tool identification, components, assembly, and wear causes.
• Recognize alarm codes and escalation procedures; identify but escalate as needed.
• Develop basic blueprint reading skills via training and shadowing.
• Load/unload machines safely under supervision.
• Learn to use equators and other precision measuring tools.
• Complete training assignments within the allotted time.
• Participate in group training and sustain 5S Standards.
• Follow all Safety and ISO procedures.
• Regular on-site attendance is essential.
• May work in other areas or overtime as needed.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
