The candidate should have basic math skills and meet physical requirements for CNC work, with a team-oriented environment under trainers and supervisors. FLSA: Non-exempt. The position may require overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 90 days in SIG's CNC Bootcamp is typical.
• Must read and understand work instructions in English.
• Must convey ideas clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Some experience reading drawings is helpful but not required.
• Basic knowledge of machinist terminology.

Responsibilities

• Introduce machine-related controlled documentation.
• Assist in replacing and setting tools under supervision.
• Learn cutting angles, surfaces, and tool geometry concepts.
• Identify tool components, wear, and troubleshooting cues.
• Recognize alarm codes and indicator lights and escalate as needed.
• Develop basic blueprint reading skills through training and shadowing.
• Learn safe loading/unloading of machines under supervision.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as equators and gauges.
• Complete training assignments within instructor guidelines.
• Participate in group training exercises and 5S standards.
• Follow all Safety and ISO procedures.
