Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Allentown, PA team as a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician. No experience is required as you will learn under experienced professionals and receive paid training and support for certifications.

You will conduct field activities, perform standard tests on soils, aggregates, and concrete, and collect data under supervision.

Qualifications

No experience required.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
Valid driver’s license and insurance.
Willing to learn CMT principles and ASTM standards to gain certifications.
OSHA 10 certification may be required.
Strong communication skills in speaking, reading and writing.
Ability to work with contractors, peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Field Activities: Observe, test, and sample materials (soils, aggregates, concrete) at project sites.
Testing Procedures: Perform routine field/lab tests following industry standards.
Data Collection: Calculate and document test results with precision.
Communication: Maintain daily site communication; report changes to supervisor; assist with equipment organization.
Training and Development: Learn ECS methodology for observations and testing; document findings clearly.
