Job summary

ECS Limited is offering a field technician role with Pittsburgh team exposure in construction materials testing. No prior experience is required, as you will learn under experienced staff while earning a starting pay of $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of CMT principles and ASTM laboratory standards.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete on construction materials testing project sites; execute tasks under supervision.
• Conduct routine field and/or laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete using various methodologies and equipment.
• Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling and test results; assist with drafting and other duties as requested.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, fellow technicians, and project managers; notify supervisor of changes.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings with precision.
