Job summary

ECS Limited is offering a Field Technician position in College Park, GA, focusing on construction materials testing (CMT). No experience is required as training is provided; you will learn to observe, test, and sample soils, aggregates, and concrete under the guidance of senior staff.

You will gain hands-on experience with industry standards, data collection, and reporting, while developing safety knowledge and pursuing certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.
• Willing to develop understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Willing to obtain knowledge of CMT principles and applications, as well as ASTM laboratory standards, leading to certifications in soils, concrete, and radiation safety.
• OSHA 10 certification may be required.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of materials on project sites under supervision.
• Testing Procedures: Perform routine field and laboratory tests for soils, aggregates, and concrete following industry standards.
• Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction from test results; assist with drafting and admin tasks as needed.
• Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors and project managers; relay site conditions and requested testing.
• Training and Development: Receive training in ECS methodologies for observations, inspections and testing; document findings precisely.
