Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED with two years of lab experience or two years of college with science courses and one year of lab experience, or equivalent
• Must speak and write clearly to convey lab data to physicians and staff
• Must work well under pressure

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, and process specimens for analysis
• Input patient data into the laboratory computer
• Answer telephone inquiries regarding test information and results
• Accession (enter) specimens into the system
• Operate and troubleshoot Total Lab Automation (TLA) systems
• Monitor and operate the TUG sample delivery system
• Perform tasks under supervision initially to ensure accuracy
