Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is offering a CDL training program in the Zanesville, OH region. Trainees pair with an experienced trainer for 4–6 weeks to learn trip planning, backing, stops and logs on live freight, earning $850 weekly during training.

After solo, you receive full pay with a $1,000 weekly guarantee for the first 3 months. Typical routes run along the eastern seaboard with home time every two weeks and about 2,500 miles per week.

Qualifications

• 21+ with a Class A CDL.
• 120+ hours CDL school or 6 months OTR in last 12 months.
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years.
• No major preventable accidents in 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI in 5–10 years.
• Able to pass DOT physical and hair/urine drug testing.
• Living within 200 miles of Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

• Train with a trainer for 4–6 weeks learning trip planning, backing, stops, and logs on live freight.
• Haul dry van freight ~2,500 miles per week, mostly drop and hook with some live stops.
• Go home every 2 weeks.

Job description

Getting your CDL was the hard part. Finding a company that will actually train you, pay you while you learn, and keep you busy afterward should not be. Drivers from the Zanesville area are joining a regional fleet that does exactly that.

What the First Two Months Look Like

Day one, you are paired with a trainer who has run these lanes for years. For 4 to 6 weeks you learn trip planning, backing, customer stops, and electronic logs on live freight, earning $850 every week. When you are ready, you get your own truck and full pay, with a $1,000 weekly guarantee covering your first 3 months solo.

The Routes

Most loads run up and down the eastern seaboard, so you will not spend weeks out West. You average around 2,500 miles a week hauling dry van freight, mostly drop and hook with some live stops, and you are home every 2 weeks.

Earnings Once You Settle In

• Weekly Average: $1,200 to $1,400
• Mileage: Beginning at 55 cents and rising a penny for every additional year of experience, topping out at 65 cents
• On Top: $15 per stop and a monthly performance bonus

Are You a Fit?
