Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking Class A truck drivers for regional dry van routes east of the Mississippi. This position offers a transparent pay structure and consistent weekly earnings.

You’ll receive a guaranteed weekly minimum for the first months, earn mileage-based pay starting at $0.55 per mile with experience-based increases, and access a monthly performance bonus. Training is provided with home time every two weeks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL. New CDL-A holders welcome with 120+ hours of CDL training from an accredited school.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR experience in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years.
• Clean driving record: no more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no major preventable accidents in the last 5 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the past 5 to 10 years depending on when CDL was obtained.
• Must pass DOT physical plus hair and urine drug testing.

Pay and Mileage Breakdown

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,200 to $1,700
• Mileage Rate: $0.55 per mile to start, plus $0.01 for every additional 12 months of experience, up to $0.65
• Weekly Miles: 1,900 to 2,300 on average
• Stop Pay: $15 per stop
• Performance Bonus: Monthly bonus plan for safe, productive drivers
• Guaranteed Pay: $1,000 per week guaranteed for your first 3 months after your first solo dispatch

Paid Training for New Drivers

• Training Pay: $850 per week while you ride with an experienced trainer
• Real Freight: Learn on actual loads and routes, not in a classroom
• Straight to Solo Pay: Move to full mileage pay as soon as you finish training

Your Routes and Schedule

• Home Time: Every 2 weeks
• Territory: Eastern planning zones, loads typically stay east of the Mississippi River
• Freight: Dry van, mix of drop and hook, live load and live unload
• Hiring Area: Must live within 200 miles of the Richmond, VA area
