First Chicago Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Claims Call Center Specialist to join our Claims team in Bedford Park, IL. You will handle customer inquiries, document losses, and guide callers through the claims process with independence and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in customer service and high-volume claims or insurance is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Data entry and ability to type 30 WPM+, with proficiency in PC applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, empathetic service to insureds, claimants, attorneys, carriers, and other callers.
• Receive and document initial reports of accidents and losses.
• Gather detailed loss information and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
• Review policy information and identify potential coverage concerns.
• Guide customers through the claims process and answer questions.
• Refer insureds and claimants for estimates when appropriate.
• Route claims and calls to the correct claims unit.
• Assist adjusters by providing timely information and support.
• Maintain productivity, quality, and customer service standards while handling call volume.
• Process tow bills, police reports, claim payments, and other admin tasks.
