Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen Inc (GPI) is seeking an entry‑level Civil Site Engineer to join our Boston team. You will work on land development, transportation, municipal, and infrastructure projects under senior engineers, gaining hands‑on experience in design, drainage, and utility systems.

You will use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare plans, perform field data collection, and contribute to permitting and project meetings. GPI values growth, mentorship, and quality engineering in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year preferred.
• Internship, co‑op, or relevant engineering experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, site development, grading, drainage, and utility design.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, design, and development of site engineering projects (commercial, residential, transportation, municipal).
• Prepare engineering design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports under supervision.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop site plans and construction documents.
• Support grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and roadway design efforts.
• Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and surveyors.
• Perform site visits and field inspections to collect data and monitor progress.
• Assist with permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Review construction documents and shop drawings for compliance.
