Job summary

Freese and Nichols, Inc. is hiring an Engineer I to join our team in Florida. You'll work with experienced engineers, receive regular feedback, and pursue EIT/EI and PE while contributing to water and transportation projects.

Responsibilities include developing design plans, performing hydraulic calculations, and supporting reports. We offer hybrid work options, mentorship, and opportunities to grow toward leadership roles.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in civil/environmental/water resource engineering or related field.
• Internship experience preferred.
• Student org involvement with leadership roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop design plans, support hydraulic calculations and drainage studies, analyze data, build models, and help prepare technical reports and construction documents.
• Build and review models using industry-standard engineering software.
• Visit project sites to observe designs in the field and understand progression from plans to reality.
• Gradually take ownership of portions of real project deliverables.
