Job summary

Freese and Nichols, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I to start an engineering career with mentorship from experienced professionals.

The role offers exposure to water resources, stormwater, water/wastewater planning and design, and transportation projects across multiple locations including Rogers AR, Overland Park KS, Oklahoma City and Tulsa OK. You will develop designs, learn design software, visit project sites, and progressively own portions of real deliverables while pursuing EIT/EI and PE

Qualifications

• BS or MS in degree program listed above
• Internship Experience
• Student organization involvement, especially leadership roles

Responsibilities

• Develop design plans, support hydraulic calculations and drainage studies, analyze data, build models, and help prepare technical reports and construction documents
• Build and review models using industry-standard engineering software
• Work with experienced engineers who will explain the “why”, not just give you a task
• Visit project sites and see how designs move from plans to reality
• Gradually take ownership of portions of real project deliverables
