Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an entry-level Graduate Engineer in Civil - Site Development to contribute to diverse infrastructure projects in Ann Arbor, MI and Cary, NC. The role offers hybrid work options after 90 days and exposure to grading, stormwater, and pavement design while supporting client goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from accredited program.
• Must complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search).

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary project teams to support design and construction of grading, stormwater, erosion control, culvert, pavement design, etc.
• Participates in project coordination meetings and works with project teams to resolve design challenges and incorporate client requirements.
• Performs routine research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
• Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis.
• Assists with development of project schedules, cost estimates, and engineering deliverables.
• Develops and applies knowledge of engineering software, design tools, and digital delivery methods.
